Join us for a sneak preview of the all-new Taylor’s Bellfoundry Tour.

We’re back!

In the run-up to the formal reopening of our newly-refurbished visitor attraction in autumn 2024, we are offering a limited number of half price “preview tours” to give members of the public chance to sample what our all-new Visitor Experience has to offer. These discounted tours will provide our newly-qualified guides with an opportunity to trial the all-new Taylor’s Tour. These events will also give members of the public a chance to feedback on the visitor experience.

The tour

Tours will begin in the new Carillon Courtyard before taking in the manufacturing workshops, joinery department, bell tuning shop, and casting hall viewing gallery. You will also receive a sneak preview of the freshly refurbished Taylor’s Bellfoundry Museum. 

Key points

• Foundry tours last 1h30 mins and are led by one of our expert guides who will be happy to answer your questions.
• Children aged nine and older are welcome on our tours.
• Taylor's is a working foundry, so what you see on the day will vary according to current jobs. We cannot guarantee that a casting will take place on the day of your visit, but there is always plenty to see and enjoy!
• Visitors must wear flat, closed shoes to take part in the tour. We also recommend wrapping up warmly in winter and avoiding loose clothing.  
• After booking you will receive a PDF attachment with further practical information about visiting us. We strongly recommend all visitors read this information carefully!

For these four special events, ticket prices are as follows:
 
Adult (16+): £7.50
Child (9-16 years): £5.00
As these tickets are already discounted, we will not be offering a further concessionary rate for this event.
